Tenderstem broccoli and smoked salmon salad

Juice the lemons. Cut the tenderstem broccoli in half. Snip the chives.


  1. 1 Make a dressing by whisking together the oil and lemon juice. Season and set aside.
  2. 2 Steam or boil the broccoli for 3 to 4 minutes until just tender but with a little bite. Move on to the next step while you wait.
  3. 3 Meanwhile, toast the seeds in a small frying pan. Add the soy sauce and cook over a medium heat for about 3 minutes, tossing regularly to coat all over, until the seeds are crisp and golden (take care that they don’t burn).
  4. 4 Arrange the broccoli on a plate and top with the smoked salmon slices. Pour over the dressing and sprinkle with the seeds and chives. Serve immediately.
