- 1 Turn the grill on to a medium heat.
- 2 Put the mushrooms on a baking tray, stems facing upwards.
- 3 Drizzle generously with the olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- 4 Grill slowly, at a fair distance from the heat, for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked. The mushrooms should be very dark in colour but still moist.
- 5 Leave to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
